Final round Pikes Peek International Raceway
With the final round ending at Pikes Peek International raceway; and already having 2nd place overall locked down in Novice GTU, I didn’t feel as pressured as I normally am for the weekend. Going out on Saturday and winning both races (Novice GTU & GTO) and setting a class record in Novice GTO (59.231), I ending my season as well as I could have expected with such a mechanically challenged year. From blowing my transmission early in the season; to blowing my motor mid to late season. This year has definitely had its difficulties each round, but to overcome them each weekend is an accomplishment in itself to me.
Now that the season has come to an end the off-season will begin. The team plans to travel out of state to race with other clubs in warmer climates. Already setting my goals for next year with top 5 finishes in both Middleweight and Heavyweight superbike. Off-season racing will keep me mentally and physically ready for the 09 season.
I would like to thank everyone that made this such a successful Year!! Fellow racers Rick Grosse and Justin Meyer for some late night motor rebuilds!!
